The Evergreen Inkwell Launch: The Story Begins

It’s launch day.

The Evergreen Inkwell is officially out in the world. The door is open, the kettle’s on, and you’re warmly invited in.

This space has been slowly unfolding behind the scenes—equal parts garden sanctuary and creative workspace. A place to share creative rhythms and moments of mindfulness, small wonders and larger questions. A home base for my novel in progress. And now, here it is: real, live, and ready to grow.

I’ve already shared a little about the roots of this project in this opening post, but today feels like a threshold worth marking in its own way.

And as it happens, today is also Father’s Day.

My dad, Steve Baylor, was a public school teacher. Today, he is a teacher by example. A man of few words yet an endless supply of excruciating puns, he taught me the value of hard work, curiosity, humility, and serving without seeking attention. He recently wrote a novella—a little passion project of his own—and while he’d probably downplay it, I am honored to share a link to his story here: Full of Grace. And to all my favorite humans who are also righteous dads in their own right—you mean the world to me; I’m sure you know that already.

If you’re new here, welcome. I hope this becomes a place that feels like a soft landing and a little spark at the same time. If you’ve been quietly cheering from the sidelines while I figured it all out—thank you. And to dear friends who helped test, gave feedback, or simply tolerated my obsessive focus over these last several weeks—I’m endlessly grateful for you.

What a place to start? Explore these practical posts about tea gardens, or reflect with me on the creative process.

More to come. Always more to come.

Love,
Karin (with an eye)
